Hydraulic alligator and crane shears
Alligator shears
MATECH BV is the exclusive distributor for the range of alligator shears from UK manufacturer JMC McIntyre Recycling Systems. McIntyre builds hydraulic alligator shears with blade lengths ranging from 150 to 900 mm, as table or portable machines. Most models are fitted with wheels but can also be moved quickly and easily with a forklift thanks to the specially designed forklift pockets.
Operation is by foot pedal for maximum safety. It can be used to make a single cut or it can also be used automatically. A mechanical or hydraulic hold-down clamp ensures that material that is too long does not ‘snap off’ when the knife block goes down. All types are equipped with rotating blades, which minimises user costs.
Virtually all McIntyre alligator shears can be viewed and/or tested at our premises and are available from stock.
Crane shears
Minelli’s crane shears are built entirely of Hardox. The use of special types of steel in the construction in combination with a precise structural examination has made it possible to achieve an extremely rigid and robust appearance, resulting in optimised utilisation of cutting forces, which range from 290 to as much as 740 tonnes. All shears can be supplied complete with 360° continuous hydraulic rotation.
All the advantages of crane shears at a glance
- HARDOX construction with excellent mechanical properties and high wear resistance
- Conical structure to reduce torsion and the spread of forces, optimising the cutting phase
- Updated geometry in the jaw that prevents materials from jamming
- Optimised cylinder pressure angle to improve cutting force distribution
- All primary blades are 4-sided, the blade on the jaw is on 2 sides
- Double guide for the mobile spout
- Bushings and pin made of alloy steel, hardened and ground
- Cylinder with brake, hardened and chromed rod, hardox head and working pressure up to 400 bar
- All hydraulic components are protected inside the machine housing
- 360° continuous rotation group
