Stationary analyzers
Seamless quality control is essential for any type of metal production. This includes an analysis of unwanted elements in the scrap, incoming goods inspection, process control at the smelter and final quality control of outgoing goods.
Optical emission spectroscopy, or OES for short, is a proven and widely used analytical technique for determining the elemental composition of a wide variety of metals.
With the latest CMOS and CCD technology, our stationary spark spectrometers provide the highest level of accuracy and precision of analytical results throughout their life cycle, analysing critical spore and seed elements with low detection limits. The unique spark stand design is accessible from three sides. This makes our spark spectrometers the ideal choice for samples with complex and irregular shapes and sizes.
Benefits of OES
- Analysis of most metals and their alloys and virtually all relevant elements, even critical spore and seed elements with low detection limits.
- Very wide range of elements, covers virtually all of the relevant elements (partly including nitrogen in duplex steel).
- Customisable calibration.
- Multi-CCD or high resolution multi-CMOS optics for maximum spectral line separation.
- Integrated comprehensive material database for quick and easy material sorting.
- Very short start-up and measuring times.
- Spark stand accessible from three sides, suitable for samples with complex and irregular shapes.
- Results at the touch of a button: concentration, material ID, intensities and static data.
- Excellent long-term stability thanks to constant peak intensity monitoring.
- Optical vacuum system: stability, no peak shifts due to changes in air pressure.
